Welcome back to GW2! The full Viper's set for condi Reaper would be great for damage. However, if you want a tankier build, Celestial with Berserker weapons and trinkets can be very effective in solo play, and I recommend that option. As for minions, they can still provide decent support in open world content.

If that was not clear enough and you still had other questions, don't hesitate to ask Let's go with the exotic gear version since this is what most people will have. I always work on the builds for harder fights against champions and such. You'll only over cap if you factor in Fury, which gets applied every 4s, and has a CD of 8s. For me personally, I'd rather get close to 100% critical chance naturally and over cap every 4s, than to feel like I need to wait for the Fury to get close to 100%. If you don't factor in the Fury and do the math using damage formulas, you'll get actually get more damage from Deadeye Runes than the Scholar ones. I hope that explained how I decided on the runes

I figured it came down to fury uptime, thanks for confirming your train of thought for me there. :) Personally I think like switching Glass Canon with Short Fuse (Firearms minor trait) for open world play because it lets me build one set for more than one game mode, but that is just my taste. Thanks a lot for explaining, it helped me understand the math behind the build a lot more. :)

If that piece of gear is exotic, and not very expensive or valuable to you, you can salvage with a "Black Lion Salvage Kit", if you have one. If you don't have a "Black Lion Salvage Kit" or the piece of head gear was expensive or ascended, then you need an "Upgrade Extractor". You can buy it from the TP with Gems or with "Black Lion Statuettes" from the "Statuettes Vendor".

This build is not meant for solo open world gameplay. So if you want to kill champions, it's best if you have other players with you to help with the damage. This build is best used in group content like Fractals, Strikes, and Raids. It's also good for open world metas and similar situations

You shouldn't need rifle except on rare occasions. But if you found yourself using it often, then either of the Relics you mentioned would be fine

You probably were looking for the weapons with the exact names as I have, which are legendary and very expensive. Generally speaking, for my guides and all other build guides, legendary is never required for a build. It's just more convenient for the person making the build guide to use Legendary while working on builds, but for you as a player it is not a requirement. Here is what to look for to buy the cheapest Exotic Gear: - Look for "Zhed" to buy the Berserker Armor, example "Zhed's Mask". You'll find a full set with that name that's very cheap. - Look for "Spindrift Greatsword" and "Glimmerfang" and "The Hunt" for the weapons - Look for "Agate Orichalcum Amulet" and "Agate Orichalcum Ring" and "Agate Orichalcum Earring" for the trinkets

Not much stronger, just a better upgrade. So this build will still work just fine

Auto Target in PvE is very useful. I suggest you leave it enabled exactly for the reason you mentioned

But that was explained in the video. You have 2 Favors: Favor of the Bazar, and Favor of the Pavilion. You need to finish a certain daily for each of them, and that changes for time to time. I don't think I remember at all at any point the daily for the Pavilion to require a full Blitz run and then doing the race. If the daily required the race, you can do it at any time by talking to the time trail NPC and it will count.
